Feature Friday: Deep Blue
So I missed Feature Friday last week. I am so sorry about that but I was too busy playing with oils and meeting some new friends. I recently gained a new business partner (Hey Andi!) in DoTerra world and we had an amazing girls wine night/essential oils night. Yup you heard me: essential oils + wine + all your best girlfriends = amazing Friday night, right? Well, if you are interested, reach out! I can come to your place and supply all the essential oils, a little bit of knowledge and some oily goodness treats. All you have to do is invite your friends and supply some wine:)
Anywho, on top of that, this past week I have just been running myself into the ground. Full time clinical, (still) setting up the house, running a business, teaching a million classes and starting to organize to study for the Boards. I was so busy that I did not even realize that I had this past Monday and Tuesday off until like three days before hand. Seriously, poor planning on my part. I could’ve been in the mountains or at the beach!! (actually though, my friend was swimming in the ocean on the Vineyard this weekend. What the global warming?) In the end, it turned out for the best. I lounged with Chris on Monday and then dropped him off at work and then Tuesday I turned into my Day of Self Care. It just so happened to be National Mental Health Awareness which is so so appropriate. I slept in (well for me= not 5 am), got an amazing massage, made some yummy food, had lunch with Chris, got my haircut and colored and powered through booty day (my favorite!!). It was truly amazing and I feel like I could use like 10 more of those.
My goal for this week has been to sleep more ,meditate more & take it easy on myself. Well, easier said then done. I never claimed to perfect (although I tend to expect this of myself) and I am definitely a work in progress. So I am just sharing that work with you and letting you know, it ain’t easy loves.
One thing I have really loved the past couple of weeks is my Deep Blue from DoTerra. Serious lifesaver. So here is your Feature Friday on Deep Blue in all it’s different forms.
Feature Friday: DEEP BLUE
What is deep blue you ask?
It is a glorious, relaxing blend from DoTerra that comes in many forms. It is a blend of Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus. It is absolutely soothing.
There are many different forms of Deep bLue that you can buy.. My favorite is the deep blue rub. Think Icy hot but WAY better for you! There is a Deep Blue pure essential oil, Deep Blue Roll On, Deep Blue Rub, Deep Blue Touch and Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex(Vitamin).
The Deep Blue roll on and Deep Blue Touch are awesome for just rolling on small areas of the body. I like to use it on my upper neck region and upper traps. It helps ease discomfort in upper traps after a long day of studying.
The Deep Blue Rub is great for larger muscles. Think quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves. After a tough workout or a long day on your feet it's the perfect thing to massage onto tough muscles.
Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex delivers polyphenol extracts of frankincense, turmeric, green tea, ginger, pomegranate, and grape seed. The formula is made to provide soothing support to aching muscles and to some other discomfort. It can help decrease inflammation, control muscle function and control joint function. You can take 2 capsules with food per day; 1 capsule in the morning and one in the evening.
PSA/Disclaimer: As a budding Physical Therapist, I have to write one disclaimer. This will NOT cure an injury. It will not fix a broken bone, torn ligament or any structural damage in your body. This WILL help easer muscular discomfort and joint pain. It will help sooth sore muscles and decrease tension. It is really relaxing to rub into muscles after a long day at work or a tough gym workout. If you are injured, please see a doctor or Physical Therapist.
Whether you are a weekend warrior, elite athlete or super busy mom, This blend can help you support your daily active lifestyle.
