DIY Pumpkin Face Mask
I decided to get a little creative today and do some DIY. I love crafts and DIY. My friend Kerry and I used to craft ALL the time in college. It was an ongoing joke- we had the BEST psych factors for our lacrosse team. (sorry TUlax you know its true). I enjoy creating and I have recently become interested lately in essential oils and in homemade beauty. It's really hard and really expensive to uphill your entire beauty routine and make everything natural and organic. So instead of buying everything right now, I've decided to start by making some of my own beauty products. so today I bring you....
DIY Pumpkin Honey Face Mask
(I made three "servings" at the same time because one serving seemed too little-- The recipe below is for one serving of the face mask)
- 2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil
- 1 tablespoon of plain oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon of milk (I used almond milk)
- 1 packet of Manuka Honey
- 10 drops of Frankincense essential oil
all the ingredients:)
I was inspired to make a pumpkin face mask by all the pumpkin puree that my roomie snatched up when the grocery stores though there was going to be a pumpkin shortage! I was also inspired by a few beauty experts at The Well Summit such as Nicolle Mackinnon of No More Dirty Looks. I chatted with her at The Well Summit and she said she had just made one up herself for their blog. It's taken me a while to get around to actually creating it. So here it is!
doesn't look yummy but can't wait!
I can't wait to try it out! If anyone wants a sample or tries to make it on my own let me know!
