More Than Just Physical Therapy

I’m not your average Physical Therapist– you’ll field questions like: “How Stressed are you on a daily basis? How is your sleep? Do you stay hydrated?” as well as “how much time do you spend outdoors? How do you handle the change of seasons? What activities ground you?”  

Pain is so incredibly multifactorial

And that’s why we consider it all.

Your job, your daily life, your movement history, your injury history, your location, your stress levels, your hydration, sleep and food, your stress management techniques… It all plays a role in how pain is present in your body and therefore, it all plays a role in how you heal yourself.

And that’s the other thing about working with me, I’m not going to fix you.

You aren’t broken.

I’m here to help you become your own healer.

What to Expect from Physical Therapy with Kerry:

 

Step 1:

Schedule your initial evaluation below and fill out the intake form. This is where you can start to write YOUR story, think about YOUR goals and share any information you want with Kerry. You will also be asked questions about stress, lifestyle and daily habits.

Step 2:

Show up for your 75 minute initial evaluation in clothes ready to move your body. We will take a deep dive into your history, current complaints, lifestyle and goals. From there, we will assess anything from strength and flexibility to nervous system activation and fascia mobility.

Step 3:

Game Plan Time. Based on your goals and the assessment, together we make a game plan. You can expected to leave your first appointment with a variety of different exercises, stretches, mindfulness techniques and lifestyle shifts. You will also leave with a plan in place moving forward for in person and/or virtual check ins.

step 4:

Take Action. This if your life and your body. With the guidance and support of Kerry, you will get to work taking your next steps forward. Depending on your personal plan, there will be weekly or bi weekly check in sessions to move you in the direction of your feel good life!

Feeling good in your body shouldn't be something elusive. It is something that each and every one of us deserves. While yes, pain, injury and illness happen, there is so much we can do prevent that. I believe through lifestyle, ritual and routine you can be your own healer, before you even need it.

True healthcare is preventative healthcare. In a hope to bridge the gap and prevent people from being in pain, I have created comprehensive, holistic fitness and wellness programs. These programs include yoga classes, strength training programs, mobility programming, breathwork, meditation and more in each one.
