This was originally written in 2019 and I am bringing this offering back in March of 2023 and I am so so excited!

Performance Coaching. The who, the why, the what and the how

Are you in this space where you feel okay but not great?  Do you look back on a time before an injury or major stressor in your life and think I felt so much better then!?  Are you just going through the motions in your workouts, in your life?

So much of our time is spent behind screens  or on autopilot. We are either texting, emailing or scrolling social media.  On top of that so much of our time is spent just going through the motions.  Wake up, eat breakfast, coffee, work, lunch, work, exercise, dinner, netflix, bed.  Don’t get me wrong, this is not a BAD life but is this the life that you want? Do you want to just go through the motions or do you want to live each day like it’s your life and you are choosing to make the best of it each day.

For me, living my best life is all about doing the things that fill me up and nourish my mind, body and soul. It is living intentionally and on purpose.  It is making the choices that serve me in that moment on that day. It’s having a routine and structure but learning to live in the flow-- whether that be in my career, my workout routine, or my personal life 

So how does this relate to performance coaching and exercise?

WELL, ABUNDANCE FLOWS WHERE YOUR ENERGY GOES.

So who is this for? There are two types of people who benefit from Performance Coaching.

Type 1:  You experienced a recent injury, traumatic or chronic. You just finished a successful 4-6 weeks at Physical Therapy.  You loved your Physical Therapist, you learned a lot and you are starting to feel good. You were excited to return to your activity of choice whether that is rock climbing, running, hiking, biking but then, insurance cuts you off.  Insurance said “You’re good. You can walk, you can sleep, you can go to work. You’re done. You don’t need this anymore.”  Best part: they didn’t even ask YOU. Anywhot-- you want to get back into everything full steam ahead BUT you feel lost.

Okay so, Type 2:

You’re happily working out, Tuesdays barre, Wednesdays yoga, Thursdays run club, rest days. You are enjoying your workouts but you feel STUCK, stagnant.  You are looking to reach goals in your workouts, your personal life and your professional life but you just feel like you are treading water and staying afloat. You want to try new things, branch out from your fitness routine and your daily habits but you don’t know where to start.  You’ve heard of mindfulness or meditation but the thought of starting a practice is intimidating. You want MORE out of this crazy thing called life but you don’t know how to get it.

Why is this total mind, body, soul approach so important?

Well, you can’t have one without the other so you cannot expect to thrive without addressing each aspect of life. To truly feel good in your body, you need to examine all aspects of your life in order to create rituals, routines and habits that fuel your mindy, body and soul. To see success and feel confident in your performance, you have to incorporate mindfulness, healthy eating habits, and empowering mindsets. In order to feel your best emotionally and mentally, you have to address your physical body mindful movement, empowering exercises and mobility work.

As I said earlier abundance flows where your energy goes. When you put energy into having a positive mindset, you create positive energy to fuel your workouts.  When you move your body in empowering ways, you emanate  confidence, calmness and creativity. The energy you put into your soul flows with abundance to your mind which flows with abundance to your body. When you feel that energy from one piece of your life to the other piece of your life, you feel lit up, inspired and free. Does that sound good to you?

Performance Coaching Includes:

  1. An initial 75 minute full evaluation assessing overall fitness level, mobility, mindset and daily habits

  2. 1-2 weekly 1:1 workout sessions (depending on plan)

  3. weekly exercise programming based on individuals needs.

  4. weekly journaling activities to fuel a better mindset

  5. weekly challenges to push you forward mind, body and soul

  6. weekly meditations to compliment your workouts.

  7. daily access from 9am-6pm via email or Voxer for questions and advice

  8. free injury screens and injury prevention screens if and as needed
